This week I read The Maze Runner written by James Dasher. This book was fiction and it starts out with a boy named Thomas who wakes up into this maze and only remembering his name. He has a box of supplies with him and is very confused. Then he meets this group that is also in the maze and was waiting for him to arrive for the supplies. They are trying to get out of the maze that they are in but the doors on the edge are only open during the day and you do not want to be stuck in the maze during the night. I did not really like this book, it was really slow in the beginning and to me it did not really pick up until the end of the middle where it was kind of too late.

The Summer of Letting Go
This week I read The Summer of Letting Go written by Gae Polisner. It is a fiction book that starts out with the girl named Francesca (nicknamed Frankie) whose younger brother died when he was four. Frankie has always felt responsible for his death. She then begins to start babysitting a boy (also named Frankie) who reminds Francesca of her younger brother and they create a unique close relationship. Along with this she also starts to like her best friend's boyfriend. I really loved this book. It was really well written and kind of mysterious. It was also a pretty believable book and I felt like I was there watching the story happen.
Next three books to read-
1. Looking for Alaska
2. Unbroken
3. Eleanor and Park

Everybody Sees the Ants
This week I read Everybody Sees the Ants written by A. S. King. This book is about a boy named Lucky Linderman who is a freshman in high school. He has been bullied by a guy named Nader since kindergarten. Also when Lucky dreams he, he dreams of his MIA grandfather who was in the Vietnam war. Eventually Lucky finds himself caught between his dreams and reality. I thought that this book was amazing and I really enjoyed it. I think that it was written in a pretty unique way, where you kind of half to figure out what is going on along the way. The genre of the book is Fiction but it has some non-fiction elements to it. Warning: There is some mature language in this book and they talk about some mature things, so if you do not like that type of thing I would not recommend reading it.

Thirteen Reasons Why
Over the summer I read Thirteen Reasons Why. This book is about a girl who commits suicide. Before doing this she makes thirteen tapes to tell people why she did it. It is told from the view of a guy who is on the tape. I really loved this book, it was interesting because it took you through her life, but from another persons perspective. I would definitely recommend this book, there is a little bit of language in it, but it was a amazing book.
To be read list-
