Belly Up

This week I read Belly Up. AS i read further and further into the book I realized two things. 1; This was sort of a younger book and was too easy too read. 2; I did not enjoy this book. It is about a boy who lives at a zoo because his parents are zoo keepers. Then a hippo dies at the zoo and the boy and another girl tries to solve the mystery of why the hippo died. I did not really like this book, because it was kind of boring and slow.

Slice of Life

The higher we get the more excited we become. We speed though the sky, yet we feel as though we are not even moving. The scenery changes in an instant. From snowy mountains to flat plains to smooth lakes to Hilly deserts. All around the plane there is noise. Screaming babies, chatting adults, and laughing kids. The plane starts to go up, but wait it's actually going down, all the way down until the moment where the wheels hit the ground. We have arrived.

The Great Gatsby

I read The Great Gatsby for my classic. It is about a man named Nick who one night ends up at his neighbor Jay Gatsby's house for one of his parties. He meets a woman named Jordan who he starts to fall in love with. The he meets Jay Gatsby who wants Nicks help to help him become in contact with Nicks second cousin once removed. It was an amazing book that I really liked, but it did have some parts that were sad and shocking. I definitely think that it should be considered a classic because its a book that's really memorable and it tells a story about how anything can happen and really quickly also.

Slice of Life

The cool wind that chills us turns into beating sun so quickly that we do not even notice. We are too busy inching towards the edge of our seats waiting for the game too begin. The whistle is blown and all we can see is blurs of black, yellow, red, and white, but only black and yellow is scoring. My sister whips her stick and the bright lime green lacrosse ball goes racing past the goalie. In the end the score is 23 to 0 with my sister scoring many of the points. Her team won her whole tournament.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

This week I read the book in the striped pajamas. It was really sad but it was also really good. Its about a nine year old boy named Bruno who has to move from his house in Berlin because of his fathers work. Her comes across a fence and a boy and he starts to talk to this boy everyday. This book was very well written and it had some mysterious aspects to it. Overall this book was really good and i would definitely recommend it.

Slice of Break

Over break Julia Michele Obama Chavez Venezuela Johnson Golslee Pods Fort Collins Klein Beundel* and I went sledding. Sure, we only went down three times but it was still fun. Well on the way back. Let me start from the beginning...

Julia and I had planned to meet each other at the park, but I was not ready so I told her to come down to my house. She finally picked up my phone call and complained. When she finally got here I was ready and she said she was too tired and she had walked too far DOWNHILL. I told her that we would go even if I had to drag her up the hill, which I did all the way UPHILL. She complained the whole way so I threw snow at her. Finally we go to the bottom of the hill and she commanded "TAKE ME TO THE TOP" At that moment I wanted to kill her but I did not. She started to  "*#@^" at me so I did it anyway. She "#%^@"ed right when a small child came down the hill and said, "Mommy that little girl said......" I quickly pulled the "queen pain" away before she did anything we would regret later. We went down a few times before she had to go potty. As she did it I hid her sled. After she did this she announced "I AM NOW READY TO GO HOME." I told her "REALLY!?" Because she had just made me drag her all the way to the top and through the street and now she was "cold." She told me that she would drag me back, but I know that she only offered to because it was downhill. Even though Julia Michele Obama Chavez Venezuela Johnson Golslee Pods Fort Collins Klein Beundel really got on my nerves and was acting like a sassy diva i still love her and she it a sister to me.**
