Eleanor and Park

This week I read Eleanor and Park written by Rainbow Rowell. It is about a girl named Eleanor and a guy named Park who are both sixteen and do not necessarily fit in. On the first day of school they are forced to sit together due to lack of seating on the bus. Eventually they sit together every day and become friends, then more than friends. I really liked this book because I think it was really well written and it had so much feeling and depth in it. CONTENT WARNING: Pretty much the whole book, it is more of a mature book that touches on pretty much every subject.

Ready Player One

This week I read Ready Player One written by Ernest Cline. This book takes place in the year 2044, society is a mess and everyone is stuck in a virtual world named OASIS. In OASIS there is a hidden lottery ticket, that is everyone dream to find. Wade Watts has spent his whole life trying to find this ticket, suddenly it becomes more than a game and Wade has to fight between the game, the players, and the real world. I though that this book was kind of weird, I was kind of confused when I first read the book, but eventually things started to make sense. Overall I liked this book and I would recommend it.

Swallowing Stones

This week I read Swallowing Stones written by Joyce McDonald. This book is about a boy named Michael, who on his seventeen birthday shot his rifle into the air. On the same day and same time, Jenna's father, who is repairing the roof, gets shot. Michael does not know that he just killed him. This book is about how both Michael and Jenna have to deal with this issue. I love this book, it is very interesting and full of action. There is no warnings that are very serious, there might be a little language.

Between Shade of Grey

I read Between shades of Grey written by Ruta Sepetys. This book is about a girl named Lina and her brother and mother who one night are taken out of their house in Lithuania and deported to a concentration camp in Siberia. They have to go through brutal treatment and being treated like slaves. I loved this book because it is shown from the perfect perspective. Not from an adult or like a really young child, but from somebody who understands for the most part what is happening. Content Warning-- There are a few parts that some people might not like, but overall it is not too bad. Overall I would definitely recommend this book.
